Tucked away in the Spanish-colonial style streets of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, artist Alfredo Garcia-Lucio works with Mexican craftsmen to create his one-of-a-kind designs. He began his creative journey in Denver, Colorado, where he worked as a photographer and designer in print, fabric, and space design. Since then, he's moved his operation to San Miguel de Allende, where his sustainable designs made of recycled materials can most authentically embody his Mexican heritage as well as the artisanal traditions commonly used there.

Hummingbirds will sing with joy
This item is fantastic. The shape of each nectar-holding pot allows the hummingbird to dip their long becks down into the feeder. I can hardly wait for spring! In the meantime, I'm using these small pots as starter pots for my herb cuttings through the winter. What a fantastic treasure!

Was more than a Hit…it was a Grand Slam!!
Buying for Boyfriend's family member i did not know very well. What to give??? Found she liked to feed the Hummingbirds in her yard, but wanted something a little different than plain feeder. Uncommon Goods always has suggestions so I started browsing through and BINGO…there it was. Not just a Hummingbird Feeder, but a handmade original design, that was handsome, fed multiple birds at the same time and looked wonderful even when not in use. There was much fun in her trying to guess what is was while unwrapping it…each new piece seemed only to further confuse the issue. But end product was highly welcomed and I was enthusiastically hailed as number 1 shopper!

Nice garden art, but that's it.
We purchased one of these for my Mom a couple of years ago. It's nicely made and looks good in the patio, but the Hummingbirds won't touch it. We have lots of Hummers, but I've only seen one even try. It still looks good, but it's not functional.

Cracked without cause
I cleaned the feeder then filled the containers. When I went out an hour later, the sugar water was all gone and a large purse of the glass was laying on the deck. There had been no wind and it hadn't hit anything. It appears there had been a crack at the base of the container that had broken off. I'm very disappointed as this was a gift from my family. Too expensive for the quality.

I love this hummingbird feeder!
It's stood up to some strong winds & rain. (Left it out on accident & was sure it would be missing parts or broken. Nope! And hummingbirds are coming around! Make sure you take it down at the appropriate time of year for your zone.

Floral Feeding Tube
I purchased an older version of this hummingbird feeder a few years ago. The floral feeding tube blew off during a bad storm and broke. Can I purchase a replacement for the feeding tube? I love this so much and hope it can be salvaged. Thanks!

Looks beautiful, but thats it
I received this as a gift. It really is beautiful, and people comment on it. For that reason, I ordered one as a gift for someone. I just canceled it. The birds cannot possibly get the nectar as their beaks aren't that long. I have had it up and haven't seen one bird, whereas I have the good old fashioned feeders where the birds frequent. Unfortunate

Thank you for your review! Hummingbirds have long tongues that can extend far out beyond the tip of the beak! In this way, they have access to the nectar inside long, tubular flowers and hummingbird feeders. Hummingbirds feed via a piston-like method, lapping up the nectar 15 to 20 times per second! There are tiny forks at the tip that spring open to gather fluid then retracts as the bill squeezes shut, compressing the tongue and allowing the bird to lap up the nectar. Do Not Buy
I agree with many other of the reviews. The feeder is not designed very well. The design is artistic but not very functional. The birds can only get a little nectar before their beaks can't reach the liquid. (yes, I copied that from another review because it is spot on!). Also, the feeder funnels fall out easily and frequently in just the slightest amount of wind. And then if you can't find it in the foliage below the feeder it is just useless. At that point it is not even particularly attractive.

Perfect backyard addition
Purchased this for my grandparents' backyard in Florida. They have had "hours of fun" with this hummingbird feeder- it hangs well under a tree that sits over their backyard. It shipped within 3 days as well! Cannot recommend this enough!

Do the glass bottles come apart so they can be cleaned?

Yes! The bottles can be taken out very, very carefully. The glass flower can also be taken out for cleaning. The glass flower is very fragile so take care!
