Tucked away in the Spanish-colonial style streets of San Miguel de Allende, Mexico, artist Alfredo Garcia-Lucio works with Mexican craftsmen to create his one-of-a-kind designs. He began his creative journey in Denver, Colorado, where he worked as a photographer and designer in print, fabric, and space design. Since then, he's moved his operation to San Miguel de Allende, where his sustainable designs made of recycled materials can most authentically embody his Mexican heritage as well as the artisanal traditions commonly used there.

Beautiful Feeder
I got this for Christmas, and despite it not being hummingbird season, I hung it up. It is gorgeous and I am excited to get a plant in it and get it filled. The only problem is the feeder tubes are not secure, so with our first big gust, they went flying. Lucky for me, my husband made a fitting to secure them in the glass bottle. Now it is perfect!

Beautiful feeder
I bought this feeder as a gift and when it arrived one of the glass feeders was broken. I emailed and explained what happened. It was so easy & fast to get a replacement. I highly recommend this feeder. I can't wait to add a plant & see how the birds love it. #sweepstakes

Quality material
The basket, chains and blown glass are all high quality. The glass is thick and they screw into the holder so they will not get damaged in high winds. My daughter can't wait to hang this in the spring!

Beautiful Product Shipped Poorly
I purchased this as a gift for my mom, and the first one I received had a damaged box which led to to one of the hooks bending the wrong direction. It's shipped wrapped in paper in a very flimsy box. I had to wait six weeks for the replacement due to a backorder...the second one arrived with one of the metal hooks actually sticking out of the box. I was afraid I was once again going to have a problem but fortunately this one was undamaged. I would definitely recommend this if it could be shipped in a more protected way.

People keep asking about replacements for the glass nectar holders, and the reply always points them to the plastic flower stoppers. Can replacement glass nectar holders be obtained through you or anywhere else? The whole thing is kind of no good any more with only 1 or 2 nectar holders.

What should I use as nectar in the hummingbird feeder?

The National Audubon Society recommends this recipe! • 1/4 cup refined white sugar • 1 cup boiling water • Bowl • Spoon Note: Please do not substitute honey, which can promote dangerous fungal growth, or use red food coloring, which is not necessary and could also prove harmful to birds. Steps: 1. Mix sugar and boiling water until sugar is dissolved. 2. Cool and fill feeder. 3. Hang up your feeder outside and wait for the hummingbirds to come.

Hi, I have this beautiful basket, I was wondering how everyone keeps the rain water out of the feeders?

Thanks for your question! A little water out won't hurt! Plan to change out the nectar every three to four days. During hot weather, change it every two days. You may need to refill it daily in the peak heat of summer when birds need more hydration, and near the end of summer when hummingbirds are bulking up for migration. If you notice nectar turning cloudy, replace it immediately.

The interior of the hanging basket is 10.5” in diameter and 4.5 - 5” in depth (since they are handwoven).

Can you just put a plant pot in the holder or do you have to plant the flower directly?

The basket was not designed to hold pots. We suggest planting your plant directly into the basket. A pot would interfere with the balance and drainage of the basket
