Steven and Erica Moore design and handcraft these special bird feeders at their home studio and workshop in Chatsworth Ontario Canada. Steven grew up building bird feeders with both his father and grandfather. He and his dad went into business together after creating many different designs. They were an instant hit at art and craft shows across Canada. When his father retired 10 years ago, Erica joined the family business. They continue to build these beautiful Feeders and hope many more will enjoy the birds right at their window!

Care
Hand wash in hot soapy water & vinegar 2-3 times a year. Installation Instructions: 1. Clean window glass prior to application. 2. Use a very tiny drop of cooking oil to lubricate your thumb and then rub the flat surface of suctions cups in 4 or 5 circular strokes before applying to the window. This leaves a film of oil that increases adhesion. 3. Position feeder on the window. First, apply top suction cup, second, apply left cup and third, apply right cup pushing gently on roof section directly toward the center of each cup. From inside the feeder, individually press each suction cup onto the window, holding firmly for about ten seconds, ensuring that all air has escaped. Take care NOT to push on the center of the back panel of glass. * You must check suction cups regularly to maintain adherence. * 4. You MUST use the wire provided for added security. After install, run the line from the top suction cup of your bird feeder to a small hook or nail at the top of your window frame

Heavy & fragile
The item is beautifully made but maybe not practical. It is quite heavy and it's supposed to stick to the window with suction cups. It comes with a wire for security but there is no way to use it on my house. I received this as a gift so I guess I can wire it to a tree near the window.

I love this Glass House Bird Feeder - I bought two!

Pretty, but some are fragile
I received this gift (per my request) from my mom, and the first thing that happened was it broke. When uncommon goods learned about the fragility of my feeder, they immediately reached out to replace it. This level of customer service is so heart-warming and will make me a customer for life!! Yes, a squirrel would be too heavy, but this bird feeder can be mounted on a window which will help keep hungry squirrels and other critters away from your bird's buffet!

Has anyone had problems with the suctions cups losing ability to hold feeder? I have had problems in the past with suction cups that pop off.
