Great Gift!
I sent this to my Dad for his birthday. He has been hard at work getting his front yard certified for primarily containing native plants! He really appreciates art pieces, but no more room indoors. This blown glass bee ball was the perfect choice. He placed it where he enjoys it every morning. With or without bees, it's a little jewel for the garden. He was very impressed and truly appreciated the gift. He and his girlfriend avoid big box stores, so uncommon goods is a win for all!

Amazing Gift, Beautiful Glass #sweepstakes
#sweepstakes I purchased this for my mother (who is very hard to gift to) and she was delighted! It looks beautiful in their garden and she adores that there is the added benefit of helping local bees! This is a stellar gift and I've already purchased a second one for a family gift at Christmastime. What a find! Great price as well. Shipped fast.

Creative and Beautiful
#sweepstakes. I am redoing my review since I forgot the sweepstakes hashtag in my initial one! This is such a beautiful and eco-friendly gift. I bought it for someone who loves gardening and glass art,--and was so impressed when I unwrapped it. Beautiful swirls, I cannot wait to see it in use! I was worried it would break during shipping but it was expertly packaged and arrived without a scratch

No bees
I received one as a gift and it's absolutely beautiful. Looks great surrounded by my flowers, but I've never seen a single bee going near it, and we have bumblebees in our yard.
Response from merchant
We're happy to receive your review! Honey bees like to drink dirty water as a way to supplement the minerals in their floral diet. A water source with a nice odor—mossy, moldy, or stinky - will help attract bees to your drinking station. We would also suggest trying to place the ball in a different area of your garden, where the bees will be less distracted by other sources of condensation/nutrition. We hope it continues to be a beautiful addition to your space!

Beautiful piece of functional art
This beautiful yellow and orange piece of art is so adorable in my flower garden. I go out and water it each day so the bees have water to drink. I have not seen any bees yet, but I am just about to plant some new flowers, so I bet they will find their way over to get a drink soon. I just love how it brightens up the garden.

It says it uses water from the hose- does this mean it has to be hooked up to the hose while in use?
Verified reply from Michelle
No, these do not have to be hooked up to a hose. They are able to be filled up from the hose but are designed to hold only a small amount of water which is perfect for the bees to drink.

Can these drinking ball's be used for the birds in my garden?
Verified reply from Leslie
Hello! These may not be best for birds; they only hold a very small amount of water intended to be easily accessed by bees.

Will the collected water attract mosquitos? We have a mosquito problem in our area.
Verified reply from Leslie
Hello! Per the artist, the Bee Balls only hold very small amounts of water, far too little for mosquitoes to find attractive.

I love the look of these garden balls for attracting bees. Do you just lay them on the ground amongst your flowers?
Verified reply from Allison
Yes! The artist states, "Place Bee Balls in and around your garden bed or flower pots. Water will naturally collect on them when it rains or when dew collects in the evening and mornings. For an extra boost of water make sure to spray the orbs with water any time you water your garden beds or pots. Enjoy the pops of extra colour in your garden and relish the fact that you are doing your part to help save the bees!"
