Bug infested!!
I wanted to love this tree so much and I was so excited to get it. I took care of it according to directions, indoors in my clean apartment, but it wasn't growing and wasn't happy. Upon closer inspection, I found maggots and other bugs swarming the leaves. Had to be from this plant because I live in a high rise and my windows don't open. I'm so sad, I wanted lemons and got a bug-infested apartment.

It's already starting to bear fruit!
It shipped beautifully! It came with flowers on it already and it's starting to bear fruit as of 1/16! Yes they are teeny tiny but they are there! I couldn't be happier with the entire ordering process from start to finish - it wasn't supposed to be here in time for Christmas and magically made it, It was shipped with care and came out of the box looking gorgeous and fragrant! This is a must have for anyone who loves Meyer Lemons! and we do!

Meyer Lemon Tree
My son & daughter-in-law loved the Meyer Lemon Tree I sent them for Christmas. I chose this as a gift because they live in Georgia and thought it would be perfect for their climate. The only problem was the plant arrived without the message I wrote or who it was from ~ me! The plant was fine but someone on your end didn't check everything was included with my order:(

Missing Leaves and Mites :(
When the tree arrived it was missing almost all of its leaves, but we had faith we could maybe keep it alive with the right care, warmth, and a grow lamp. After we were all set up, we also realized that the tree has mites- we are attempting to treat, but sadly we are not hopeful regarding its survival- this is unfortunate because it was not a cheap item, especially to arrive in this condition.

A gift
My son bought me both the lemon and lime trees…both have lost all their leaves, I do believe they are dead…I thought I was so on top of these, I repotted with citrus soil..didn't seem to help..so very disappointed.

Covered in pesticides
I don't know why I assumed buying from Uncommon Goods would mean more sustainable, healthy products... but I was wrong. This tree is so heavily coated in pesticides I had to keep it outside for a week just to feel comfortable bringing it inside... to my basement.
Response from merchant
We’re sorry to hear this wasn’t received in excellent condition. The Lemon Tree shouldn't have arrived with any king of pesticides and we're sending this feedback along to our team so this may not happen again in the future. Through the quality checks and regular feedback we receive on this item, we’re confident that the poor experience you had was an outlier and we’d like to make this right.

Lemons?
Well, it arrived quickly and it was packed with great care. It is a beautiful, healthy looking plant. Sadly, I see no lemons. I don't even see anything that looks like it might develop into a lemon. Otherwise, it is a lovely looking plant. Still waiting and hoping for lemons someday.

How big can the tree get? Height/width?
Verified reply from Allison
Our gardener said that if you keep 'stepping it up' in a pot (transferring it to a bigger and bigger pot) and leave it unpruned it can get big. However if you keep it pruned back regularly it can maintain the size it arrived.

I am in zone 5 Indiana and my husband loves lemons! For an anniversary gift how do I best grow this indoors? How large does it grow indoors? Details please eg how much and how often to water and window facing what direction is best?
Verified reply from Angelica
What a great idea for a present! The tree requires 6 hours of direct sunlight or use of a grow light. You would need to water at least once per week or whenever the top two inches of soil have dried out. Ideal temperature would be 70'F and above (up to 104 degrees before it's too hot) but the plant will thrive as long as it doesn't get close to freezing temps as citrus can die within hours under 32 degrees.

Is this tree non GMO and organic?
Verified reply from Allison
The nursery states there is no genetically modified citrus. All of their citrus budwood comes from the University of Florida and the farm is also registered with the institute of food and agriculture. They only use organic supplies for their trees.

Would you recommend this for the WA area? Concerned because Meyers don't seem to do well in zone 8, in my limited experience.
Verified reply from Allison
Hello! Not to worry! This Meyer Lemon Tree can be grown indoors! It grows fragrant white flowers and can thrive indoors or outdoors in warmer climates.

Does this lemon plant stay small? Does it have to be replanted? Can it stay inside or does it have to go outside?
Verified reply from Allison
The purveyor of the Grow Anywhere Meyer Lemon Tree states that they "will happily grow to the limit of the container they're in! You can prune your tree and keep it in the original pot or if you keep repotting every year into a larger pot, you could eventually reach sizes of 10ft or higher (over several years)".
- I already asked this once. You don't get another nickname.

How warm do you have to keep it?
Verified reply from Allison
Your tree would need at least four to six hours of direct sunlight. They thrive in warm weather: above 70 degrees F but not exceeding 104 F. The danger zone for too cold is anything approaching freezing at 32 degrees. Your citrus tree can die within hours as soon as it gets below 32 degrees. Warmth, sunlight, and water are the keys to a happy tree!

How soon and how often does the tree bear fruit?
Verified reply from Allison
The trees are delivered ready to bloom! If your tree doesn't have any fruit or flowers on it, don't worry! Your plant will be ready for the next stage and often blooms within only months. It may take up to 6 month for the fruit to mature- then it starts the cycle again!
