Storm glasses, utilized by navigators as far back as the 19th century, functioned as early weather forecasters. Explorers would use these sealed glass tubes housing camphor and ethanol by observing how the internal crystalline formations responded to atmospheric fluctuations. While no longer a practical weather predictor in modern times, these conversation-starting objects, like this interactive raindrop-shaped variation, continue to captivate with their daily-changing appearances.

  • Water droplets are available in two sizes: small (4.5"L x 3"W x 3"H) and large (10"L x 5"W x 4.5"H).
  • Position the droplet indoors where it will experience the most drastic temperature changes and away from direct sunlight for optimal performance.
  • Each atmospheric change alters the solubility of the crystals, leading to the display of new formations in the glass daily.
  • Droplets crafted from glass. Large size includes a walnut and beech wooden base.

Seeing the World in Blue

The item is so unique. The appearance brightens up any room not to mention it will catch all eyes once seen. It has the quality to produce questions and where can I purchase one. I purchase this for my company owner. What do you purchase someone has it all, well this out beat most all company gifts I must say. I will use uncommon goods for more purchases for sure

OBSESSED

Don't waste your money.

Thought it would be fun to watch but unfortunately it doesn't do anything at all. Good clickbait !! Bad waste of money !!

Not many drastic temperature changes indoors

It's really pretty, and I love the idea of it, but I've had mine for a year now and once it settled in, it never changed. We keep our house at a pretty steady temperature, and I read that is the main cause of changes in the storm glass, so I'm guessing that's why.

The Weather Changing Water Droplets is a beautiful functional décor piece for indoor use, and its changes are primarily a reaction to temperature fluctuations. Being kept in a consistently controlled environment, the crystal formations should still show variations with temperature fluctuations. We believe this may be a one-time issue, and you may notice more activity by positioning the droplet near a window where it can receive natural light, but away from direct sunlight. This often helps the crystal formations evolve more noticeably with even small temperature shifts. If the crystals remain at the bottom and do not change, the glass may be "stuck." and we would love to reach out for additional steps to ensure everything is functioning properly and to assist further if needed. Pretty to look at....

I just wanted to get something cool for myself. I bought the large droplet on the wooden base and it is actually soothing to look at. I know it doesn't actually predict weather changes accurately, but it is pretty and a great conversation piece.

Beautiful piece

This is such a beautiful and unique gift to give. My husband was thrilled with it. My only issue is that it would be nice to include some information in the box about the product. It's annoying to have to explain to somebody what a gift is. Just a simple piece of paper with the information shared on the site about the product would be so helpful.
