Personalization isn't as visible as the photos would suggest
Pros: The woodwork overall is mostly good. The pieces fit together very well and the edges are evenly rounded. The tops are mostly smooth though there are some areas of roughness where the sanding was not as uniform. Cons: The personalization is subpar. The photos make it appear that the personalization is darker than the light wood. This is true for the engraved interlocking heart pattern but the actual personalization is the same color as the light wood. When first removed from the packaging I initially thought they forgot to engrave it because you can't see it until you look closer. The dark wood is even harder to see (albeit, that does make sense).

Great wedding and anniversary gift
This is my go-to for a wedding or anniversary gift... it is so perfect. All the recipients loved it and said they would proudly use and display it. I did not have it personalized; I don't think it's necessary for it to seem extra-special and personal.
