Potter Kerry Brooks was heading towards a PhD in American Cultures from the University of Michigan before she decided to move to Ann Arbor and train in ceramics instead, from 1988 to 1992. The next year, she moved to Minneapolis, and co-founded a four-person pottery collective the year after that. The other three potters eventually moved on, so she's run the business herself for the last 15 years. As an employer (currently of 45 people) and gallery host, she has influenced the next generation of Minnesota clay artists, and many of her employees are artists in their own right. Pottery remains Kerry's passion, but she loves to travel and sing when she's not running her business, doing philanthropic work, or raising her daughter.

Great ornament
I bought one for each of my children for "their" state and can hardly wait until they receive them next Christmas! Their hit hits this year were three mugs with a scannable code and a 50 state water bottle with stickers. We traveled to their last three states after Christmas this past year and my daughter happily put on each state sticker as we arrived!

Beautiful Ornament!
We bought 3 of the Texas geode ornaments one for each of our adult girls and their families, and one for us! Both of our son-in-laws love geodes and the iconic Texas shape made these ornaments a must for our Texas family. The colors are beautiful and we will look forward to hanging them on the tree each year.

Are you considering making country ornaments? I'd love to get the geode state ornaments for my family (as most of them were born stateside) but my son was born in Germany when we were stationed over there and I was born in France (though I'm of Polish heritage) so, unfortunately two of the seven of us wouldn't be able to have such a meaningful ornament to hang on our tree. Please consider adding to your product line. It is a wonderful concept.
