Before class, please:
Sanitize your bottles, caps and funnel in large pot of boiling water for 5 minutes. Remove with tongs and lay on a clean surface to air dry
1-2 people per screen, please. (More than that affects the quality of everyone's experience.)

So Great!
My husband and I did it as a date and we had so much fun. We love hot sauce, but had never made our own before. Lisa was great at teaching while making it interactive and engaging. I loved that she made suggestions of how to use other fresh ingredients so we can try it again in the future without the kit. Thank you for a great experience!

Fun class - need to come prepared.
We did a good amount of prep before class. Still felt like we were behind. I think it should be made more clear that you should pick your recipe ahead of time and know exactly what you are making and have some items pre chopped to not be running behind. Thankfully we were pre-sanitized and had our tomatillos roasted. Didn't realize we needed regular peppers as a base too. In the end the sauce came out great and we will make more.

Amazing! So much easier than I thought!
Easy to listen to... and honestly, you don't need the book! She will guide you. I used mostly a recipe from the book (Chipotle Lime), but ended up adding onion, yellow pepper, tomato, ginger, thai pepper, more garlic, and 1/2 cup vinegar... came out amazing! I ended up making TWO sauces. I made the Habanero one, adding apple, red bell pepper and some pickled habaneros!! Totally amazing. But LisaMarie definitely lets you know that you have control to make something great, thank you!!

Good class for knowledge, not so good workshop for execution
The process felt rushed and somewhat disorganized, despite having prepped everything beforehand and previously worked in a professional kitchen. There were too many open-ended options given as to what ingredients we could use, the instructor referenced a kit that was different than the one provided through UG, but some people had the first kit, and some people had the second kit. She didn't make a recipe from either kit, but a custom one of her own. As a workshop, it would have been helpful to have a more clear sense of direction (guide people to make a certain recipe from their respective kit, otherwise why are we buying a kit with the class!), as there were procedural discrepancies between the instructions in the kit and instructions in the class. It would have been helpful to have a timeline for the class to keep everything on track, as we didn't even end up getting to the bottling step during class and had to finish that afterwards. I would have preferred to see a landscape view of the instructor with the prep and cooking area visible while preparing the hot sauce through the class, but instead it felt more like a FaceTime call with the instructor, without any view of the process unless she brought something into screen. I wasn't a big fan of the trivia portion as well, I felt that time could have been better used by limiting unused details about hot sauce ingredients and methods earlier and sharing it during that time while our hot sauce was cooking to help keep us on track.

Thank you for your honest review. We have set up the class so that customers can choose to either follow the recipes in the booklet, the singular recipe we provide in the ingredients list, or create their own bespoke hot sauce with ingredients of their choice. We do note in our ingredient list that the instructor will be creating a bespoke hot sauce that customers can choose to follow closely if they wish. We do apologize that the change in kits did not go as smoothly as we worked on, but we do not anticipate this being a continued issue as we proudly have created the new kit in house. We will ask the instructor to use two cameras moving forward! We're more than happy to reschedule you to take this course or send a recording your way!

Made great hot sauce, will never wear gloves ;)
This class was a gift from my girlfriend and I love it. I grow my own tomatoes and peppers and have always wanted to know how to make my own hot sauce. This class was a perfect introduction and the customer service was great helping me adjust the schedule to fit my needs. The starter kit is a great help, definitely read the instructions ahead of time. I feel ready to experiment making my own hot sauce.

Super fun, easy, and informative class
I didn't really know what to expect heading into this class, but it was very easy to make, the instructor was super knowledgeable, and we finished everything on time. As a bonus, all of the hot sauce I made was super delicious.

Excellent class
Class was fun and informative. We made our first hot sauce during class and it came out fantastic. Class taught us tips we wouldn't otherwise would have known from the kit alone.
