Stop and Set the Flowers

You long to enjoy the relaxing benefits of meditation but just sitting there is so not you. Join expert floral artist Nsombi Woodson for a 90-minute class that will introduce you to the contemplative practice of flower arranging. This creative, hands-on activity quiets your busy mind while you focus on designing works of living art, and makes a wonderful gift to yourself or anyone who wants to discover a calming pastime (or just loves gorgeous flowers).

The look of the arrangement will be all yours—choose blooms and greens from your own garden, the farmer’s market, or the grocery store (we’ll send you a list of recommendations before the class, but you can go with whatever sparks your botanical bliss). Nsombi will share her floral-care tips and professional techniques for preparing your vase, demonstrate how to find your personal design style using the plants as muses, and answer questions throughout the workshop. Flowers may not last forever, but your artistic and restorative new hobby definitely will.

I Highly Recommend This Course

I received this as a Christmas gift from my daughter. I really enjoyed it. I learned a lot about various types of flowers, life spans, making solutions, pruning, hot & cold water stem baths, proper slant cutting, water changes, grid flower slanting placement etc There is a flower frog on the bottom that you attach the stems to. This vase holds over 40 stems. We had an excellent instructor, she explained everything clearly, great hands on experience. Everyone in the group was very friendly, the environment was relaxing.

This flower arrangement class was a Christmas gift from my daughter. I like trying new things and learning new skills so this was the perfect gift! The class was well organized and instructions were clear. The instructor was so bright and cheery. It was a lovely experience.

It was fun!

I had a good time. I knew a little bit going into it because one of my daughters worked in a florist shop but I learned more. It's a nice skill to have so you can make yourself happy every couple of weeks by designing your own bouquet. I thought the others in the class came up with interesting designs too. Everyone created something different. It's very easy to do this from your own home and the Zoom connection made it easy. I got this as a gift so I don't know the cost and if the value was there on that point.

This class was the perfect gift!

As part of my partner's birthday celebration this year, I gave them this class to do together. I have always loved flowers and, growing up with a mother who did competitive flower arranging, using flowers creatively has been a core part of my life. This class was my way of pulling my partner into the flower arranging experience while giving them a new creative outlet that also ties in their love of nature. We had an absolute blast. The instruction was very clear and covered both the technical aspects of flower arranging (e.g., how to prepare flowers, greenery, and the vase) and the true art of the practice. The instructor was very positive and encouraging. At the end, my partner had an amazing arrangement they were super proud to claim. This class, as I hoped it would, helped make flower arranging something we both enjoy, giving us a new shared passion… truly the best sort of experiential gift.

Great flower arranging experience, all @ home!

This was such a fun experience and I learned many news facts on how to care for floral arrangements so they last longer. It was great to be able to ask questions and see all the different arrangements that others designed.
