Tequila & Mezcal Mixology Class

With such enchantment at the heart of agave’s origin story, it’s no wonder that spirits distilled from the spiky succulent inspire magic of the mixological kind. Join Brooklyn bartender Matt Levy for this live virtual class where you’ll learn how to infuse tequila and mezcal with custom flavors and use these legendary Mexican spirits to craft captivating cocktails.

• While living in Oaxaca, Matt fell (even more) in love with agave-based liquors: These ancestral, generational, celebratory spirits are made with such incredible intention, we don’t need much else to create incredible cocktails with them.
• Find out why all tequila is mezcal, but all mezcal is not tequila as Matt leads off with an introduction to the two distillations.
• Discover how to use infusions of fresh fruit and other ingredients to enhance tequila and mezcal with subtle flavor nuances.
• Learn three drinks that will become essential to your home-bar repertoire: a Paloma spiced with jalapeño-infused tequila, a refreshingly bittersweet Monterita, and a Mezcalgroni that’s a smoky twist on the classic aperitivo.
