Looking for experiences outside of our norm
We are not typically sweets people but love learning and trying new things. This class gave us a completely new view on maple syrup. All the complexities that make the variety of final flavors were amazing. It is just as complex as wine making. We learned we were trying the wrong syrup! My new breakfast is plain Greek yogurt with a drizzle of Maple Flower Farm's golden and delicate syrup. Cory was warm, friendly, and educational. I highly recommend this class to expand your knowledge and taste buds.

Interesting class
#sweepstakes It was interesting, but it could have been a little more informative. There have probably been enough classes so that the host could have explained the syrup making process and history without the need for student questions. The question below is "who did you purchase this for?" i was the recipient of the gift, not the purchaser.

Tasting maple syrup in much the same way one tastes a flight of wine reveals that there are subtle and sometimes dramatic differences from one syrup to another.

Great class and great maple syrup!
Cory is very knowledgeable! It was like a wine tasting class but with delicious maple syrups :) He had good recommendations on how to pair each syrup. It was fun to hear about the maple syrup community in Vermont. All the syrups were so tasty!

What a great experience!
We received this class as a gift and loved it. We learned so much about maple syrup and have a newfound appreciation for small-batch, traditionally crafted syrup. I don't think we can ever go back to the "old stuff." The syrups were amazing and there was a nice range in the box. The real value was in the class presented by Cory. He did a wonderful job of teaching us about the entire process, bringing it to life with his personal experiences and stories. (We'll definitely be giving this class to friends and family. We'll also be buying more syrup from Maple Farmers before the samples run out!)

Fun and informative!
Hosted by a real Vermont maple farmer, this class is fantastic. The flow is great as you talk about the process of making syrup while tasting along the way. I loved the suggestions for what one would use each syrup for. The host was engaging and I really recommend this class! I look forward to supporting small business maple farmers now, knowing that their product really is a labor of love and exceptional quality.

This was a great class!
This class was bought for me as a gift, and it was great! I really enjoyed all of the syrup, and I appreciated all the parts of the kit that made it easy to follow along with the class. The teacher was passionate about his craft and had interesting and relevant info to share. This was a great way to learn more about maple syrup and try some super yummy syrup I might not have found on my own.

Outstanding Maple Syrup Tasting Experience
I purchased the Maple Syrup Tasting Experience for my son, who eats a lot of waffles with maple syrup. Cory Krieg taught the class. He is a small maple syrup producer in Vermont and very knowledgable about the topic. The class provided opportunities to taste different syrups and learn what makes them different. In the process, you were encouraged to pair the syrup with all kinds of different options. The only thing I would suggest to make the class even better is spend some more time talking about different pairing options...what are different ways to incorporate syrup into your life.

It was fun and tasty
The presenter was an expert in maple syrup, a grower and maker and a local mover and shaker in the Vermont small-batch maple syrup marketing organization (I believe he was the founder). There were 6 different farms represented in the sampler box and 4 different types of syrup represented. To my unrefined palette, I could only distinguish between the most disparate types (very dark and light). The presentation instructions suggested that we prepare a number of items beforehand (some berries, some ice cream, some tea or coffee, soda water, regular water, ice cubes) During the tasting the presenter never really referred to any of the items although at one point he suggested that some syrups go well with tea others with soda water. I assume that 'some' maple syrups also go well with the other items. It would have been helpful to structure the tasting more and suggest when to mix a specific maple syrup and with what and then have us enjoy that experience as a group. The paper 'cups' provided with the sample bottles had a paper odor that overwhelmed the aroma of the maple syrups making smelling the subtle scents of the syrup difficult. An odor neutral, perhaps biodegradable, plastic cup would have provided a better tasting and smelling experience. Overall it was a pleasant introduction to the world of maple syrup and will make my next trip to the Pancake House more self-fulfilling.
