At the risk of disrupting bedtime for my niece and nephew, this was such a fun and unique gift. It's different from all their other toys and doesn't take up any additional space, which my sister appreciated. I love turning to uncommon goods for unique, thoughtful and personal gifts.

In this time... in this world, we are constantly fearing we will lose our senses and more. We fear that we won't be normal tomorrow or that tomorrow won't be there at all. So we reach for comfort, in any way we can. Cinnamon and clove are the smells of home, of warm kitchens and moms, of rolls on Christmas morning and toast prepared just for you. They are the smells of comfort and warmth. To be able to give such a gift, to give comfort... well... what you are really giving is the gift of a normal day and maybe... a normal tomorrow. Thank you for that.

I search uncommongoods often for unique gifts. This was the perfect gift for my difficult-to-buy-for husband--I knew as soon as I saw this that I needed to buy it for him. He has a few essential items on his nightstand (his reader among them...and his glasses) that inevitably would find their way to the floor during the night, waking me up. (You see where I'm going with this: the Pocket was kinda sorta for me too.) But I just now asked him, before writing this review, what he really thinks of it, and he says he loves it. It's simple and attractive, sturdy and just the right size, and I agree (having said that, I would also say pay attention to the measurements in the description before ordering to make sure it's the right size for you). It couldn't be easier to slide under the top mattress, and once there it stays in place. I can think of several other of my family members who'll be getting one from us in the future.
