The soft, dotted cover includes a removable insert that is filled with flax seed and lavender blossoms. Pop it in the microwave or freezer and spread it over the spot where you need relief most. Made in California.

The aromatherapy of lavender soothes jangled nerves while the weight and temperature of flaxseed helps heal strained muscles.
Chill items in the freezer or warm in the dryer, microwave or towel warmer. Item becomes warmer as it's worn. Use caution when heating, do not overheat, overheating can cause burns.

Perfect get well soon gift

I bought this for a friend who was recovering from an eye surgery. She said she used it every day because it was so calming and comforting! This is our second one!

My wife loves this blankie as it stays warm for quite a while after microwaving and feels good draped over shoulders, wrapped around lower legs, or to lie on for back pain. It eventually loses the lavender aroma, but is very durable. Our first one is intact after using it frequently for 15-20 years.

Great for anxiety and dementia

My mom has dementia. This was given to us as a gift and we found that it was great comfort for her. It calmed naturally, I don't know if it was the heat or the weight, but results were immediate. I've purchased at least 10 more. Some for freinds who have a little anxiety and others going through chemo. I've got one now myself to calm from stress of caregiving. We used it so much that the scent dissipated fairly early, but heat and weight still did the trick.

Hello. The Lavender flax filled insert may be easily removed from the cover. It slides on and off similar to a pillow case. There is no zipper. Thanks for posting

According to reviews, it depends on how you take care of it. If you use a clean microwave, don't overheat it in the microwave, and only wash the outer cover, it can last from several to six years or more.

After reading the dimensions on the blankie, I don't understand how it can be considered a blanket at all. What is the purpose if it's much too small to cover anyone?

This aromatherapy 'blankie' functions more as a wrap. The lavender and flax seed insert can be heated in the microwave or chilled in the freezer . It can then comfort areas of the body that need some TLC!

Keep in mind that microwaves vary. Start with two minutes. If you feel it needs more warmth, heat for an additional minute. Do not exceed four minutes in the microwave. It does come with instructions.
