Though she comes from a long line of artisans, self-taught silversmith Susan Rodgers’ road to a creative career took a few detours—like a life-threatening car accident and a 20-year corporate career. Once she realized that she “needed to pursue an artistic life,” Susan worked in several mediums before discovering The One: jewelry-making. Summers spent on Fire Island with her family fostered a love of nature that inspire the designs she creates on the North Shore of Long Island.

Poor craftsmanship, poor quality control, poor shipping.

I ordered a pair of these earrings as an anniversary gift. When they arrived, both earrings were loosely tumbling around their packaging instead of being secured, and both were broken. Uncommon Goods helped expedite the shipping of a second pair, as this was a time-sensitive gift. Unfortunately, the second pair also arrived poorly packaged, and one of them was broken upon arrival again. This is not a failure on Uncommon Goods, directly, but this creator should be avoided. Her craftsmanship is of poor quality, and she does not protect her products properly during shipping. Uncommon Goods should reconsider its association with her.

beautiful quality

Bought these for a friend who is starting a new chapter, and dragonflies have always reminded her of her late Father. These earrings perfectly reflected an already meaningful symbol by adding even more love to it. < 3
