Sold individually or in pairs (make your choice in the pull-down quantity menu). Requires power (100-240V AC) and WPA, WPA2, WEP, or open Wi-Fi connection. Does not work with captive portals such as found at public Wi-Fi locations or with WPA Enterprise used in some academic and corporate environments.
Requires a 2.4 GHz connection; does not work with a 5 GHz connection.
Lamp illumination timer has a default setting to fade off in 1.5 hours but can be set to fade off in 30 minutes, 1.5 hours, 8 hours or 24 hours.
One-step set-up requires access to your home router.

Keep in touch with elderly parents
I bought a set several years ago and it's still working to this day. It has been a way for my mom and me to check in on each other each day even if we don't have time to chat. If it doesn't light up with her color for a day, I start to worry. Only negative is that my Wi-Fi is sometimes spotty and I lose connection but that's just a very minor inconvenience for the value the friendship lamps have brought!

Great to keep in "touch"
Got this for my long distance friends and it is amazing that we can communicate so simply over the US! Follow the instructions to the letter and you will have no issues setting up multiple lamps!

Keeping Family Close
I purchased the first lamps when my children moved out. I gave one to my mom, son and daughter. My sister saw this and loved it. This year I bought one for each of my siblings and a nephew who moved 5 hours away from home. It keeps us connected even though we have busy schedules. What is really nice is the fact that you can choose the color, how long the lamp stay lit when a member taps their lamp, as well as the ability to set a sleep times so it doesn't wake you in the middle of the night! I would highly recommend these lamps for those who like to keep in touch with family, but don't always have the time to call everyone.

Great way to stay connected!
I bought this for my parents who live in another state. It was easy to get it started and we've had such fun tapping the lamp to change the color. It warms my heart and makes me smile when they do the same. Easy way for my teen son to say "Hi" to his grandparents.

A Thoughtful and Meaningful Gift
I live several states away from my family and it has been a big adjustment. These lamps are the perfect way to just say "I'm thinking of you" " I love you" "I miss you". It is one of my favorite gifts that I've ever bought.

These are so much greater than just a couple of lights.
I have my father a set of these when he had cancer. I am disabled and lived 450 miles away from him, so I couldn't be there a lot while he was sick. He loved them & used them as much as he possibly could for the last seven months of his life. He even used them when he was unable to speak. We (including my mother) talked about how we touched the light with intention, thinking "I'm thinking of you, I love you" & mentally sending all of the best wishes to them. My mother is now in assisted living & she took the light with her. We continue to thoughtfully message each other through the light many times each day. Every time I talk to her she mentions how much it means to her. We now have a set of the wooden ones for my wife's mother. They are a huge benefit to both of our families and were a godsend during my father's last few months of life.

These lamps offer more than light
I recently moved several hours away from my best friend. I purchased these lamps as a Christmas present for the two of us and we are both so happy to have these lamps in our homes. They were very easy to set up to wifi and work without issue. They are well made and are stylish without being overwhelming focal pieces. The light they emit is soft and colorful. The best part of these lamps is that when they light up they give you a real sense of joy that you know your friend is thinking about you. It makes the distance between us feel smaller. I'm trying to decide how many more to buy to give to other family and friends.

Love this lamp!!
I ordered our first set 5 years ago to keep in contact with my brother & his family. Two years ago, I got another one for my in-law so my kids could tell their grandparents "hi" everyday. Fast forward to Thanksgiving - my autistic niece was amazed by the lamp....hence, I'm purchasing another one for her. Such a beautiful sentiment, makes you feel closer to loved ones far away.

Simply a perfect way to say hello
The quality has been great. We have had the lamps for over 4 years now and any time there was a any small glitch(usually user error) they were right on it. My parents love them..we say hello throughout the day and it's brought us closer. I have suggested this to friends with parents in a nursing home and it's been a hit. Highly recommend!!

Super happy with it
So far so good. I bought it as a milestone birthday present for my best friend who lives in a different time zone and who is very bad at replying to my texts. She loved it. I found it easy to set up. Would recommend!

How many color options do you have. Also, how do you know who in the group is reaching out to you?

There are 9 preset color options, however you can choose a customized color within the setup from 255 options. When setting up the lamp, each person can be assigned their own color to appear when their lamp is touched.

How many different colors can the lamp show? I have a large family all living apart - how many of us can have a different color to say "Hi" to Mom?

Hey there! There is no limit to the number of Friendship Lamps or users that can be in the same group. When you tap your lamp while it's connected to a group, every lamp in that group will change to the same color as what you see on your own Friendship Lamp. I hope this answer helps you.

Yes, you can have 6 connected! There's no limit to the number of Friendship Lamps that can be connected in the same home or to the same network.

Hi! That's entirely up to you! While the lamp illumination timer has a default setting to fade off in 1.5 hours you can set it to fade off in 30 minutes, 1.5 hours, 8 hours, or 24 hours.

Can you give more information on the requirements to use this product in the UK or EU (voltage/amperage differences)? I'd like to have one for my son in the US and me in the UK.

Hello! The lamps come with US plugs only. You'll need a plug adapter (also called a travel adapter) to fit other types of outlets. They are dual voltage though, so you won't need a voltage converter!

Hi, I would like to buy 3 for my sister, my mom, and me, and 1 for my BFF. For my BFF's to work with mine, do I need to buy a separate lamp for me so we are on a separate frequency? (I don't wany my sister and mom to be "bothered" by any communication between my BFF and me. - Would they see it?)

Hi there! If you would like to have a group with your best friend and your family, but not have them be in a group together (ie. not having everyone notified at once) , you'd need to have two Friendship Lamps at your home: One lamp for your family group, and another lamp for your friend's group.

If I buy the set of two, can I ship one to one address and one to another? And if I buy two individual ones how do I connect them over long distance or do I have to pair them together before sending one of them?

If you buy the pair, we cannot ship them separately. You can, however, order individual ones and ship them to different addresses. And as for setting them up, they do not have to be together!
