Quilling, the art of decorative paper rolling, began in the Renaissance when nuns and monks would roll excess paper to make decorations for religious objects. Ashley uses this intricate process to create a 3-D image of two connected hearts, each one in a different state of your choosing. Paper quilling is having a renaissance, with new artists taking the craft in many new directions. Ashley Chiang stumbled across the art form in 2012 while making a birthday gift for her sister. Falling in love with the process (and the outcome), she soon started making more gifts for friends and eventually put some work samples online. Today, working from her studio in Silver Spring, Maryland, Ashley shapes, curls, and coils every single work of art by hand from thin strips of paper.

This is a made-to-order item that ships directly from the maker. If you order today your item will ship no later than 11/30/2026.

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Bag. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip.
