Jean Gregoire always wanted to start his own business. Turns out it was love that launched it. He met his fiancéee, Melodie, at an engineering school in Paris and, after a trip around the world for several months together, they were separated for more than a year when Jean went to study at MIT. Before flying to Boston, he created the first Lovebox for Melodie. He wanted to leave her with an object that let her receive his transatlantic messages of love as if they were gifts.

Made a huge difference for my mom
Got this for my mom who's been struggling a lot with depression. It's crazy how something so simple can make such a big difference. When the heart spins, she actually seems excited to see what message she got. I didn't expect it to mean this much, but it does.

No help. Broke quickly. Both.
My sister got this for my kids so she can send pictures. Such a cute idea. But it didn't last long. She had a tough time getting any real help with the customer service. They finally did something when she wrote a bad review. They sent us a new one. That didn't work either. I tried to communicate with their customer service and didn't get any help. Cute if it worked. And would've preferred better service.

So disappointed in this
We wanted to use this to send messages to our kiddos when we are away or to each other on birthdays etc rather than sending messages every day. There are major issues. It resets itself if we don't use it for a while. So when my husband then sends a message from his app, it spins, and I don't lift the lid and wait for my kids to get home, tell them to open it up, and instead of the message, it has the initial start message for set up, saying connect to wifi, and we never get the message. It also doesn't save in the admin's history, as this only happens once the message has been read. We checked that he is definitely added as a user. This is not a case of not being tech savvy, my husband codes apps for a living. We now don't bother using it as it has been so frustrating and I feel like I'm down a decent amount money for nothing. The second issue is that the only messages that stay on the box after it's initially viewed are ones from me as the admin of the box, not any from him. He also only has the history on his app of the messages that he sends, not the messages I sent for him. So all the cute messages that I have sent him, are on my app only. There is an option to choose visibility, but the only options I have are 'only me' or 'me and admin', so I can't choose for it to be visible to me and all users or me and a specific user so that my husband gets the message on his app as well as the lovebox. Just really disappointed as the box itself and the spinning heart are really cute.

Granddaughters LOVE the Lovebox
Really clever idea and great for letting the grands know you're thinking of them. The spinning heart is great to notify of unread messages. Gave code only to close family members so safe for young eyes. Sending pictures is a bonus.

Wonderful to bring a smile
It's a beautiful way to send a short message to let someone know your thoughts. Our child is going away for college, and he can send a fast "hug" to his father even when he's very busy. Seeing the heart spin while he's working and dealing with the pressures of the day is a welcome sight.

Quaint and unique!
I purchased this for my mother-in-law who doesn't live with us but rather than sending it directly to her, I had it sent to me because I wanted to set it up for her. Once I got it, I realized it had two many steps that weren't clearly outlined. I figured it out but my sister-in-law or mother-in-law wouldn't have been able to push through the set up successfully. As a result, I kept it and my husband sends me messages on it. He already does that via text messages but the spinning heart always makes me smile! Great product but with a few improvements - would be absolutely perfect and the most amazing way to share happiness with those you love!

This is a great gift for long distance
I purchased this as a gift for my grandma to provide a fun way of communicating between her and the rest of the family. At first I was worried she wouldn't be able to set it up easily but I was proven wrong when minutes after receiving it the entire family received the code to send her things! In other words it was a fast and easily understandable set up process. The entire family loves this gift and is having a great time seeing all of the different things they can send grandma whenever. Although fair warning, when you spin the heart on the front (every time you manually spin it) it sends those on the app a "waterfall of hearts". While very cute it can be obnoxious if you don't understand what's going on. Overall this was a great gift and I would definitely purchase it again.

Super fun gift
It's a little tricky to set up and get connected to wifi. I set it up at home before giving it my wife but she took it to her office and it has become a little complicated.

The Lovebox Messenger is compatible with most standard home Wi-Fi networks, both dual band and 2.4Ghz. It is not compatible with most corporate Wi-Fi systems. At the office, you could connect to a “guest” Wi-Fi network if available or contact the company IT team to find out how to connect to that network.

So Much Fun!
This is a really fun way to send addition little notes and pictures to my partner. He does tell me it glitches instead of showing him the image sometimes, although resending it seems to work so far.

With the Color & Photo Love Box, you can send, unlimited and free, photos and colored messages, stickers, and drawings. You can still send all the templates we released so far, and we keep adding new free templates throughout the year for special occasions. However, the maker of the Love Box offers an optional paid subscription plan that unlocks premium features.

Can i queue messages up to automatically send periodically? Like can i create 365 messages and have it display one every day?

There are instructions in the box how to schedule a message on the app: Create your message with all the tools and designs available. Tap on the little clock. Choose the date and tap on "Schedule". And voila! You can schedule messages, it can be useful if you don't live in the same time zone as your loved ones, or if you want to surprise them!

Can multiple people download the app? So say if grandparents have the love box can all the grandkids download and access it via the app to leave them messages?

You can add as many people as you want! You'll just need to share the secret code (you will find it on the screen of the Lovebox). After creating an account on the app, your friend or family member will only have to add the little secret code to be connected to your Lovebox and send you lots of lovely messages.

If you are away for a long time, does the heart stop spinning (otherwise the motor might break?)? Also, are you able to send more than one message before the person opens the box to see the unread message? If so, what is the maximum number of messages you could send before the person opens the box?

When you send several messages in a row, they will be displayed in the order they have been sent. You can close and open the lid between each message. The Heart keeps spinning until the lid is opened to see the message. That way, you can not miss a message. And if you are away for a long time, messages received on your Lovebox will wait until you comeback (and no, it does not affect the motor)!

The color Lovebox can also send messages. As for multiple Loveboxes, you are able to add more than one Lovebox to the app. If you want to send the same message to multiple Loveboxes, you will just need to write it twice.
