“When you relinquish the tools you take for granted ... you have to stretch and find new tools to suit the new situation. Sometimes it's scary, sometimes it's awkward, often it's funny, nearly always it's a great investment.”
While studying fashion at New York's Parsons School of Design, Jill Davis became curious about other art forms, and the first time she saw molten glass, her search was over. "Glass is the most challenging and rewarding material," she explains. "You can't bully it - you are perpetually persuading the glass into shape. Even master glassblowers cannot always get the glass to do what they want. It's this feisty streak that keeps me enchanted." Jill's solar-powered studio is based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

There is a card inserted with each item that lists the birthstone colors but it can easily be removed before wrapping as there is no mention of birthstone on the outer packaging.

There's a bubble within the hand blown glass. They weigh about .20 lbs each. There are no molds used in the process, so every Wine Stopper will be a little different.
