Julie Pederson's switch from marketing to spice mongering has been rewarding on many levels. “I once had a person tell me that when they opened up a chai kit, the aroma reminded them so much of the chai they used to drink in India that it brought tears to their eyes,” she says. Julie finds inspiration in her cookbook library and hearing about other people's connections with food, “I’m always looking for new ideas, and some of the best come from engaging people in conversation."

Gift for my favorite sourdough bread baker
I gave this to my boyfriend for Valentine's Day and he loved it! It is very aromatic immediately upon opening. Giving this to him was also a gift for myself because I get to eat it. We have tried a few of the seasonings so far and liked them all - especially with some homemade soup.

A bread bakers joy!
This was given as a gift to a avid bread baker. I snuck a peak inside the box before I wrapped it and it looked amazing. All spices were well sealed and labeled. The gift recepient was very pleased with the gift. Highly recommend!

Fantastic! - Bought multiple times
I bought this as a gift for my father since we both make a lot of bread. He LOVED it and bought it for one of his neighbors who also bakes. I then bought it for myself and after using it, bought it for a friend who I split my starter with. I haven't tried all of them, yet, but the ones I have tried have been absolutely delightful!

My bread has never been better!
The pandemic was long which gave us plenty of time to perfect our sourdough game. But it's been 4 years of the same and now we have upped the anti. These spice combinations have really enhanced our bread and we couldn't love them more!

You can use olive oil, an egg wash, or butter brushed on the loaf to help the seasonings stick better.
