Julie Pedersen's switch from advertising to running a tea and spice company has been rewording on many levels. "I once had a person tell me that when they opened up a chai kit, the aroma reminded them so much of the chai they used to drink in India that it brought tears to their eyes," she says. Julie finds inspiration in her cookbook library and hearing about other people's connections with food, "I'm always looking for new ideas, and some of the best come from engaging people in conversation."

cumin seeds, coriander seeds, brown mustard seeds, sea salt, natural sesame seeds, black sesame seeds, cinnamon, rubbed mint, ground cumin, and ground coriander
Spices are processed in a plant that processes tree and ground nuts. May contain gluten and/or mustard.

Great Gift
Bought this for my parents who just got a pizza oven. They were very excited to try the recipes. Have yet to make them to confirm they're as good as they sound though

Fun way to spice up dinner
This looks great. It's nicely packaged but I wish it didn't have "date night" or "vegetarian" on the lable. I don't object to those things but the recipient of this gift is neither using it for a date night, not is he a vegetarian (though I'm sure that won't bother him). Spice blends look interesting and unique and I am actually tempted to keep it for myself! #sweepsteaks

Just wish it didn't say "date night"
This looks great but I wish I had paid more attention to the tiny outer lable in the pictures above. The description doesn't mention it but it says "Date Night for Foodies." I'll be gifting it to a recent widower and wish it were labeled without the "date night" wording which makes it seem only intended for couples or those who date. Now I feel awkward gifting it.

Great gift for people who love to cook
Nice variety of spices. I didn't notice any markings on the spice tins themselves, so must be careful not to mix them up if unfamiliar with spices, but this is a wonderful gift for people who love to cook.
