Prior to launching their company, Sarah and Nick struggled to sustain a kitchen garden in their fourth-floor Chicago apartment. Despite both honing their gardening skills as children, as busy adults they struggled to grow anything (container gardening is incredibly challenging). They turned to hydroponics for help and were astounded by the results, but unimpressed with the quality of products available. With that, the seed for their stylish, space-saving indoor gardens was planted.

I would buy this product again

I got this for my husband for Christmas. Once it was opened, we followed directions for assembly. Can't wait to see our lavender and have it's scent fill the air.

Very well done....

This is a Mother`s day gift and it is everything I hoped it would be when i ordered it. First, it is as easy to set up as place a tub in a jar...end of process! But it is truly self-contained so those without a green thumb can enjoy real flowers as if they are experts in the field. I am buying more of these just to put around the house. Ya`ll better hurry and beat me to it!!!!!!

Didn't grow

I followed the instructions exactly for months, and nothing grew.

No Grow

I got this for myself in addition to the sunflower one for my mom for Mother's Day and neither of us had any luck growing anything. I followed the instructions to the letter and nothing. Then we tried some different things because my mom knows more about plants than I do and still nothing grew. I was so disappointed. Waste of money.

Did not grow! Tried all kinds of things to make it work.

NO, it was not what was expected. The pot was nice but nothing ever grew. Tried several different things to help.

And just found out it didn't grow at all. Not 1 little stem sprouted up. Sort of embarrassing really. The pot is nice, but way too expensive for a plant that does sprout.

Would not buy again, very difficult

Received this as a gift from a friend and it's impossible. The soil does not absorb any liquid as other reviewers noted, so we had to spray the top of the soil because it was clearly not taking water up from the pot. The inner stainless steel pot is also rusting, so there's a design defect. I've tried to re-plant these seeds twice and nothing is sprouting. Soil also appears to be poor quality.

Can I put my own lavender plant in this pot if I'm to impatient to wait for the lavender to grow from seeds?

You definitely can plant your own Lavender Plants in the pot either before or after the initial starter seeds are used to take advantage of the self growing pot. However, the starter seeds are important and should be used indoors because it speeds up the initial growing season and will result in earlier and larger flowers.

You'll need to fill the ceramic pot with water whenever the reservoir gets too low. Never pour more than 2 1/2 cups into the pot. Be sure to refer to your kit's manual for the plant's exact watering needs.

Grow Kits require at least 4-6 hours of direct light daily, and should be put in an unobstructed window that faces south, west or east (southwest is the best option). During winter months—or if you don’t have an unobstructed window—you can supplement with a grow light.
