"I tend to make things I like, things I’d like to have around me," says ceramist JoAnn Stratakos. Once the concept is in place, she uses her knowledge and expertise to guide each piece. In her Pocono Mountain studio, she creates one-of-a-kind glazes, giving her designs subtle variations and unique characteristics. The color and shapes are designed to complement, not compete. Love the elephant!
I got this as a treat for myself. I always am drawn to good elephant renderings. And this is really fun and pretty. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I wish it bigger, maybe even came in 2 sizes. It would also be fun if there was some detail on the opposite of an elephant. I'll definitely keep on the lookout for more products from this artist.

A second-time gift!

Disappointing Craftsmanship
I was excited to receive this mug but was extremely disappointed when it arrived. The quality of the craftsmanship is sub par. The glaze was not applied to the rim or inside of the mug which it rough and uncomfortable to drink from. Additionally, the glaze was allowed to drip down the back of the mug and is not the quality mentioned in previous posts. Sadly, this mug will be returned.
