What Makes It Uncommon

Location, Location, Location

From the town where you grew up to the spot where you met your soul mate, this custom set of coasters celebrates the cartography of your life. Made of rustic tumbled marble with a cork backing to protect tabletops, the grid of four coasters will display a unique area based on the location of your choice, including streets, landscape features, and a star to mark the address you input. (Note: The address you enter is where the star-shaped marker will appear.) This charming set offers a personalized way to celebrate hometowns, new stomping grounds, or favorite corners of the country at cocktail time. Each set is one-of-a-kind—map colors and details will vary with location. Coaster stand is optional. Made in Providence, Rhode Island.

These maps are artistic interpretations of live map data. They show the beauty of topography, streets, landmarks, and maybe even your favorite cafe.

Note that each four-coaster grid depicts one address and continuous locale. The personalized legend will appear in the lower left coaster of the grid and the star indicating the location of your home may appear on any of the four coasters rather than in the center of the four-coaster grid.

This is a made-to-order item that ships directly from the maker. If you order today your item will ship no later than 7/25/2025.

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Box. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip.  At this time, this item cannot be shipped to APO/FPO addresses, P.O. Great Housewarming Gift

Beware!

I was super disappointed to see how the map broke out across the 4 coasters vs being the same map on each one. Why would I want 4 coasters to be more like a puzzle? I see that's how it's displayed here - but BEWARE. Go with the tray instead.

Unique Wedding Gift for destination wedding

My only complaint is that on the website the coasters were shown in a coaster holder. There was no mention that the coaster holder was not included. I expected to have the holder and was disappointed there was no holder.

There is space for 2 addresses when going to customize this. Ideally, I would have the map include two addresses (both within a few streets of each other in NYC). How do I know which one will have the star?

When you are entering your info, first start with the address line- just above the map. The three boxes below correspond to the lines in the 'legend' on the lower left coaster. The gray-lettered examples are just suggestions. The map title has 25 spaces; the other boxes have 35 spaces.

For the street address that is displayed, it says that a max of 20 characters will be displayed. Does this include spaces?

Great question! Yes, characters include letters, numbers, punctuation, and spaces.

The address I would like to use for these custom map coasters is not an urban address. It's on a mountain road. I'm imagining that a topographic map would be best in this situation. Will I have the opportunity to view a proof of the map chosen by the artist before the coasters are made and shipped?

Unfortunately, proofs are currently not an option. You can adjust the zoom to as much or as little as you'd like. The further out you go, the less detail there will be on the map. Keep this in mind as roads may start to disappear.
