I am not sure what a cradled wood panel is. Is that something on the back which enables you to hang the piece on the wall? Also, the customer photo doesn't look anything like the product photo, can you explain? Is the outermost layer (not the gold leaf) a deep green? The customer photo looks like it's black. I also don't see the white line variation in the orange ring. The product photo is absolutely beautiful, but the customer's photo doesn't look the same.

The Geode comes ready to hang on a wall. There is a metal bar at the back that allows for you to hang it easily using a regular nail.
