120 hours is a generous burn time for a candle. But when you're blissing out on the exquisite beauty and scents of Shannon Cumberland's seasonal candles, no amount of time is enough. Made by the skilled artisans on her team (mostly artists, musicians, and creators), each unique botanical work of art takes two days to produce. As each candle burns down the middle, the natural fragrances perfume the room while the preserved botanicals encased in the wax are gorgeously illuminated. Handmade in Colorado.

Roman Lavender: Crisp bergamot and eucalyptus open the door to an elegant blend of true lavender with vanilla.
Apricot Rose: A big, dewy bouquet of pastel roses and almond blossom sweetened by juicy apricot and mirabelle plum.

Shannon Cumberland has learned that “by letting go of expectations, you can enjoy surprises as they flower.” And how, as a burned-out waitress and messenger without a degree or “marketable” skills, could she have expected to become a successful, creative businesswoman? There were clues: her “lifelong love of craft, insane amounts of optimism, and what is commonly referred to as ‘grit.’” In 1995, with no previous experience, she began making candles in her “tiny duplex kitchen.” She got the basics down—and then boredom set in, cured by her garden’s infinite variety. “Tender shoots pushed and buds bloomed, with no two flowers ever alike,” she says. Inspired, she got the idea of transforming her garden treasures into candles. The concept, and her stunning execution of it, were a success. Now she lives and creates in Denver with her team, her husband, their two children and—naturally—a garden to inspire her.

coconut blend wax, 100% cotton wick, fragrance oil, natural botanicals

Measurements

5.5" H x 4.5" D ; approximately 60 ounces

Care

Before lighting, remove the wrapper and label from your candle and trim the wick to 1/4". Never leave your burning candle unattended. Do not burn for longer than 5 hours at a time. Discontinue use when only 1" of wax remains at the bottom. Burn Time: 120 hours

Hi! Do you package this in any type of insulated packaging to keep the candle from melting in hot weather during the shipping process? Thanks!

We recommend, as with all of our candles, that they be shipped Expedited 2 business days or Express one business day shipping. The candles will be packed carefully to prevent damage but not insulated from hot or cold temperatures.

Hi, I was wondering what sort of plate or basin you recommend I put this in? I see its a fairly large candle, and I want to make sure the wax doesn't get everywhere.

You can place a candle on a heat-resistant surface such as a candle holder, a ceramic plate, a metal tray, or a glass dish. It's important to ensure that the surface can withstand the heat of the candle and that it is stable to prevent any accidents.
