Best gift I've given in a while
This chime is the perfect gift for a new family. Each piece is beautifully made and it is evident each leaf and the whole chime were made by hand with so much care. The quality is fantastic. This is a beautiful gift that will hopefully last a lifetime. #sweepstakes

pretty disappointed
I had assumed, clearly incorrectly, that the names would be hung in the order that I provided them, meaning that couples and siblings would appear next to each other. That wasn't the case, so there's not much rhyme or reason to how the names appear (including two family members who can't really stand each other being hung together). On top of that, every single leaf hangs at EXACTLY the same height, not somewhat staggered like in the photos. Therefore visually you just get a jumble of leaves at the end of long strings, no artistry at all. I'm only giving it two stars because it seems sturdy so I can only assume it won't fall apart in a strong gust of wind. Truth be told, I doubt I will give this to its intended recipient for Christmas. At least there's enough time to find another gift...

The artist doesn't put the names in the same order they were entered as they try to balance the weight of the leaves evenly and it should have arrived with the leaves being staggered at different heights. Absolutely in love !!
I absolutely adore these wind chimes. I got it for my grandmother with the names of her grandchildren (including myself) and her husband. Since all the grandkids were young we've always gone to a local pottery place in town, painting not making. Pottery has always had a special place in the heart of my family. When I saw my grandmother's birthday coming up I knew she loved wind chimes, and her grandkids, and knew I wanted some sort of customized wind chimes as her big gift from me. When I saw a personalize-able, POTTERY-based wind chimes, I knew this would be perfect. It came just in time, looked stunning, and she absolutely loved it. Tears (good tears I promise) were shed, and it is standing proud in her yard as I type this. Absolutely can't recommend enough !!

Good product but took a very long time to receive
I will admit that I last minute ordered this for my mother for mother's day, but it did not arrive until mid June. That's the only thing I could say as a negative. My mother cried her heart out when she opened it and it is hung proudly in her home

Made mom very happy!
This item was professionally created, looked beautiful, and made my mom very happy as a gift for Mother's Day. It did take a while to get to me, but I knew it would in advance and I am happy to qait for quality. This is a truly unique gift that helps our whole family celebrate each other!

Not a Wind Chime
I expected it to sound at least ok, it does not. It does not look like the picture because they all hang at the same length which makes it look odd. The stamps for the letters take away from the aesthetics and give it a low quality look. Overall, disappointed.

Is it possible that on a very windy day, the ceramic leaves would hit each other and break? Or, are the leaves coated/shellacked so the ceramic is stronger?

Although we haven't tested it in high winds, please treat as you would any other ceramic item. Bring in doors were it to be very windy. The leaves are finished with a ceramic glaze.
