What Makes It Uncommon

Losing a loved one can feel like the world has shattered, leaving an ache in our hearts that words can scarcely express. Benjamin Giguere melds cremated remains into a work of memorial glass art as a tribute to those who have passed.
  • You send a teaspoon of your loved one's ashes to Benjamin's studio in the provided kit, where a skilled glassblower heats the glass in a furnace until it reaches a molten state. They carefully incorporate a thin layer of the ashes and vibrant color swirls onto the glass before returning it to the furnace and sculpting it into a beautiful creation.
  • The kit also includes an optional questionnaire for sharing details about your loved one, allowing Benjamin to honor their memory and keep their spirit in mind while he crafts each special piece.
  • The memorial sculpture features a light-up base that elegantly showcases the intricate colors, swirls, and ashes with grace and beauty.
  • Your completed memorial will come with a photo that captures poignant moments in the creation of your memorial.

Sending Ashes Safely: What’s Changed and How We Help
We know—sending something as small as a teaspoon of ashes shouldn’t require a whole box. But when it comes to mailing cremains (both human and pet), USPS has strict rules, and we’re here to help you follow them without the headache. As of 2025, USPS requires that all cremated remains be shipped in a special box—not a padded mailer, not any cardboard box you might have at home. This is a nationwide policy, and we’re following it to the letter, because your loved one’s remains deserve respect, care, and proper handling.

Choose one of these options at checkout:

Option 1: I’ll get my own USPS box
  • You’ll need to order the required box directly from USPS—it’s free and easy. Get it here.
  • This is the only box that’s approved for mailing cremains. Using a different box could result in shipment delays or returns.
  • We’ll still send you a collection kit with complete, easy-to-follow instructions for returning the ashes.
Option 2: Send me a USPS shipping box (+$15)
  • We’ll handle the USPS box for you and include it with your collection kit.
  • USPS provides the box free of charge, but the $15 covers our cost to send it to you and get it back safely.

When Benjamin Giguere accepted a temp job at a small-town crystal factory in Vermont, he never could have known that it’d lead to a 22-year-and-counting career in glass art. But once his interest was piqued, there was no turning back. Benjamin has since apprenticed with masters of the craft all over the world, experimenting with color and techniques and honing his talent. Eventually, this led to creating a thriving studio in Providence, Rhode Island, where he not only showcases his stunning creations, but also passes his knowledge and experience on to future leaders in the field.

This is a made-to-order item that ships directly from the maker. You will receive a pre-paid shipping label and envelope to mail your completed kit to the artist. An expected ship date for your item will be provided after the artist receives your kit. This item typically ships 6 weeks after the artist receives your kit.

Items that are made to order or oversized can't be sent in a Gift Box. Instead, you can include your Gift Message on the shipment's packing slip.  At this time, this item cannot be shipped to APO/FPO addresses, or to U.S. Territories including Minor Outlyling Islands. I had this created for my sister-in-law using her husband's ashes (my brother). When it arrived, I was blown away. It's just sooo beautiful. The craftsmanship is amazing. I immediately set it up in my house for a few days before giving it to my sister-in-law. I thought of my brother every time I walked by it, bringing back wonderful memories. My sister-in-law loved it. She lights it up a lot, but especially when friends stop by, so that Jimmy is always nearby.

Beautiful Reminder

I bought this for my husband who recently lost his father. His heart is still tender with grief so any reminders need to be gentle. This orb is a lovely remembrance of his Dad. The light shining through the glass is a special reminder of his Dad's love and influence.

Beautiful, tastefully crafted, momento of lost loved one.

I ordered three of the uncolored glass spheres to have my husband's ashes combined with. One for each daughter and one for myself. They were all three different slightly, yet, all perfect. They all looked so different on the light up base, with colors in the ashes that come alive with the light. Absolutely beautiful.

Perfect!

I love this Cremation Memorial Orb Sculpture so, so much! I lost my father unexpectedly and this lets me keep a part of him nearby. It is not only beautiful to look at, the sentimental value is priceless. The creator asks for memories and the likes of the person you lost and said it helps him when he creates the piece. I love that thoughts of my dad and his likes and his personality were going through the creator's mind while he made this beautiful treasure. I absolutely, completely recommend this piece. I could not be happier with the results.

Hello. We are very sorry for your loss. If you have multiple people you’d like to represent in 1 memorial sculpture, we encourage you to carefully mix their ashes and provide us with no more than 1 scoop (1 tsp) of mixed ashes.
