Detroit native Andrea Petrini earned an MFA in fiber and mixed media from the famed Cranbrook Academy of Art. After living in Minneapolis for much of her adult life, she eventually settled down in Brooklyn, New York. A devoted animal lover, Andrea learned there’s a science behind why cats love squeezing into tight spaces—it gives them a sense of security. Now, in addition to her work as an artist and a non-profit fundraiser, Andrea makes a line of durable boxes for cats to curl up inside.
