When the blooms have burned off in her kiln, Tara hand-paints the impression they’ve left in the pottery, then etches each piece with a friendly floral play on words—choose from Love You a Bunch or Buds for Life. Each charming speckled dish is just right for jewelry and trinkets, or to serve as a cheerful saucer for her favorite mug. Handmade in New Jersey.

Tara Kothari has been creating art since she was a child. She first tried pottery as a hobby in 2012 while working as an educator and photographer. After realizing that working with clay helped her stay grounded and relate to life while working in New York City, she became a professional ceramicist. Tara creates functional pottery and sculpture that often includes organic elements like pressed seasonal wildflowers, plants, and leaves. Her art is an evolving expression of the seasons around her with inspiration drawn from gardens, parks, and libraries.

I bought this for one of my closest friends. We call each other "bud." She moved to another state, so we don't get to see each other often. Doesn't look like the photo

I'm really disappointed! The text is really smudged, and the flowers do not have petals like the photo showed–as you can see, they're just little nubs. I was hoping to gift this to a friend who loves tulips, to ask them to be my bridesmaid. But, I'm going to have to find something else.

Love it, But

Great little gift and sentiment. Mine unfortunately had crooked lettering and black smudges in the paint. Hopefully it will be replace.
