“A goal is just a dream with a deadline.”

There was never a moment that Emilie Shapiro didn't consider herself an artist. "Before I could speak," she says, "I expressed myself through what I made with my hands." While getting her degree in metalsmithing at Syracuse University, she spent a summer at Alchimia Contemporary Jewelry School in Florence, Italy. "I have a massive stone collection that I started when I was two," and to spark inspiration, she says, "I usually pull out my drawers of gems and minerals and something catches my eye."

Dirty and could barely see diamond

I was excited to order this ring as a placeholder while my fiancé and I designed my custom engagement ring. Unfortunately, immediately out of the box it was very tarnished and I kept wiping it with the cloth it came with - but never could get it clean. It was also almost impossible to see the diamond on the top. It's such a beautiful design and I wanted to love it! Maybe I just got a bad one, but I had to return it.
