“A goal is just a dream with a deadline.”
There was never a moment that Emilie Shapiro didn't consider herself an artist. "Before I could speak," she says, "I expressed myself through what I made with my hands." While getting her degree in metalsmithing at Syracuse University, she spent a summer at Alchimia Contemporary Jewelry School in Florence, Italy. "I have a massive stone collection that I started when I was two," and to spark inspiration, she says, "I usually pull out my drawers of gems and minerals and something catches my eye."

Fit for a goddess!!

Disappointed with the color of the brass and stones.
The color of both, brass and stones were nothing like the picture in the website. Brass is too dark and stone were more gray than blue.

Not what I expected
Aqua is my favorite color but the stones were blue. I realize that's the luck of the draw. The chain was much too delicate for the necklace. The metal surrounding the stones was quite heavy. A chunkier necklace would have been much more suitable.

Beautiful pendant
People with arthritis of the hands will have a very difficult time with the clasp. I intend to take my pendant to a local jeweler to have the clasp changed so that I can attach a magnetic closure.

What about wearing brass? does it react with skin? Has the brass been treated for this product? Does brass remain durable in humid conditions ? Can I wear this product regularly (daily basis )?

Thanks for your question. Some people do have reactions to brass. Because it's an alloy, it may contain small traces of metals which cause reactions for some people. If you or your potential recipient tend to have allergies with metals, brass may not be the best choice for jewelry. We're not sure what you mean about durability but in terms of oxidation, humidity can cause accelerated oxidation with any metal.
