What Makes It Uncommon

A celebration of Earth’s humanity and diversity, the Golden Records sent into space on the Voyager probes in 1977 are filled with music, greetings, scientific diagrams, images, and natural sounds found on our planet. Samantha Wal’s jewelry collection features both sides of the terrestrial salutation that’s still floating through the vast ocean of space.

Samantha Wal designs and makes jewelry in her small studio in Maryland. She graduated college with a degree in Graphic Design, but after a year in the field, she realized she was more passionate about working with her hands instead of on a screen. This shift led her to the craft of handmade jewelry. Combined with her interest in the stars and celestial themes, Sam began creating wearable pieces inspired by our amazing universe.
