LAKRIDS BY BÜLOW began in 2007 with one bold goal: to create a completely new category of "gourmet licorice." Founder Johan Bülow set up shop on the Danish island of Bornholm and started cooking up small batches that challenged conventions about the time-honored confection. Today, the Copenhagen-based brand is still raising the bar, using natural ingredients, like licorice root, organic chilis, wild berries, and cocoa beans, to craft each chewy bite by hand. In 2024, they became the first premium confectionery company in the Nordic countries to achieve B Corp certification?a reflection of their deep commitment to sustainable production. Their factory runs 100% on energy from Danish windmills, and they were the first in the industry to launch fully recyclable R-PET packaging. excellent gift
Got this for my licorice-loving mom, and she really enjoyed it. Great variety, unique & interesting flavors, and enough of each to share! It was a better value than the Advent collections I'd seen, so this was definitely a great find. (Might be the next gift for hubby, or maybe I'll just treat myself!) #sweepstakes

Great Gourmet Licorice Lover Gift!
My Mom is hard to buy gifts for as she doesn't need much, but as she likes licorice, this variety box intrigued me! I bought it for subdividing into gift bags for family & friends with discriminating tastes. It was a hit for all, including (of course) me! I had to try it to give it of course! Surprising gourmet flavor combinations, nice presentation, worth the price! Only suggestion: I would have liked sub-division sharing bags & color identification guides. Truly a unique, "uncommon" item & terrific find! Pair it with a licorice beverage & stretch out the sampling experience with a different chocolate-licorice treat each setting.

My mom loves licorice and I just recently discovered Scandinavian chocolate coated licorice when traveling abroad. When I saw this gift I knew I had to get it for my mom! She said it was the "best confection I ever had." Shes in her 60's!

This one was a surprising hit! Because the licorice bites are small and there are so many flavors the whole family had fun taste testing. Even our most zealous licorice skeptics found flavors they loved. Whatever you think they'll taste like - it's better.

Phenomenal and beautifully packaged
This chocolate-covered licorice sampler was just as good as one my spouse brought back from Finland a couple years ago, but much easier to get! I loved all the varieties, even the ones I didn't expect to enjoy. The packaging is really beautiful and adds to the experience - and the value. #sweepstakes

Unbelievably Delicious and Over the Top!
This confection blew me away. From the beautiful presentation with the little licorice serving tongs to the incredible flavors. WOW! The Danes have got licorice down and I can no longer eat any other kind as it isn't authentic licorice like this. I now buy directly from Mr. Bulow's company!

What a pleasant surprise!
I bought this for my husband. He is a big licorice fan, but I was unsure of how well this would go over. He loved it so much he bought himself some more! It was incredible! He really enjoyed all the different flavors. If you know a licorice fan, or are one yourself, I would highly recommend this product. Delicious and beautifully packaged!

Unbelievably Delicious!
I've always loved licorice but these confections are an entirely new and exotic treat. The flavors are true with no aftertaste or additive feeling. I am going to stock up for guests as these will go fast!
