Could growing up near the San Diego Zoo help shape your life? According to Jenna Puente, the answer is a resounding yes. It all started when Jenna was just your typical starving art student attending California State University in Long Beach. Obsessed and inspired by animals since childhood (especially the weird ones), the then-illustration major began hand-painting greeting cards for friends and family. "It finally clicked one day that I could do this for a living," she explains. Today, under the watchful eyes of her pet bunny, Jenna showcases wildlife creatures with a dash of humor using watercolor art she creates from her apartment's dining room.
