Amy Stringer-Mowat and Bill Mowat have shared an appreciation for beautiful food, housewares, and inspired engineering since they studied Architecture at Columbia University. Their combined backgrounds in the food industry and woodworking perfectly complement one another in their serveware designs. Today, the couple incorporates the tradition of family and their values into every facet of their work and life together.

Perfect size and shape

Daughter and son-in-law decorate in their kitchen with cutting boards of each state where they have lived. They couldn't find a Connecticut one any where that was plain with no monogramming of some kind. Uncommon Goods had exactly what they wanted. The shape is perfect; the design is so accurate in relation to the shape of the state. They loved it.

Wonderful Idea for People Who Have Everything

Very nice

The cheeseboard is quite nice - a good size and sturdy. My only complaint is that the photo is incorrect - it's off by 90 degrees. (DC is shaped like a diamond, not a square.)
