Illinois-based artist Amber Clay first fell in love with ceramics in high school. Studying the medium throughout college and beyond, she combined her training with a passion for plants after her wedding in Hawaii. Monstera abounded on the island, Amber needed a place to put her rings, and her first dish was born. She later expanded this leaf creation to include spoon rests and other plants, and she draws inspiration from greenery near home and the blues of Minnesota lakes.

Care

The package includes an optional grip pad that can be applied to back of the leaf. This will provide additional grip on a more slip prone surface. If you choose to not use the grip pad, the leaf is dishwasher and microwave safe.

Cute but NOT as advertised

I purchased this as gift for my sister who loves monstera plants. The item that she recieved looks drastically different than feature product photo, and I'm so relieved I didn't send her a preview link. While the tray itself is still cute, it does not even remotely look painted the same way or even with the same care as it is advertised. Instead of a craft pottery piece, it looks like sometime I could've made at a color me mine…

Beautiful but completely impractical!

This product is incredibly beautiful and as pictured; however, absolutely cannot be used as a spoon rest given its unstable base. Even with the provided grip attached it skitters across the counter and other flat surfaces we tried. Will have to think of some decorative purpose we can use it for instead.

It's a bit less stable than expected

It's a nice and novelty idea and I still like it because of its design. Just that the bottom side is a bit round so it's a bit less stable than a regular spoon rest.

My Spoon has a Home

I got this spoon rest for my kitchen - it matches the aesthetic I was going for perfectly! It's super cute, well crafted. It's only flaw is that due to it's unfinished ceramic bottom and that it's rounded, it will spin in circles on my quartz countertop, which gives me anxiety that it will one day fly off and shatter into a million pieces.
