Kate Latham is a Virginia-based woodworker whose designs highlight handmade needlework. After careers in digital marketing and construction, she took a creative leap, trading spreadsheets for sawdust and CNC machines. Self-taught and curious, Kate solves design challenges with birch plywood, drawing inspiration from the Eameses, Alexander Calder, and functional form. She works out of a bright studio on Virginia’s eastern shore, where a small team of women helps sand, stain, and ship each piece. Whether it’s a hoop stand or frame, her work adds the perfect finishing touch. Her sidekick, Loki the Yorkie(ish) rescue pup, keeps the vibes cozy.
