A lifelong resident of Kentucky, Richard Kolb is a proud graduate of the University of Kentucky and an accomplished metal sculptor. He uses mostly scrap and recycled parts to create metal birds, critters, dogs and cats. Some of the materials he uses include garden tools, car parts, farm implements, bicycle parts and mufflers.

"I think these sculptures are a great way to contribute to the good of the environment," Richard says. "They save rejected metal parts from ending up in a landfill and they beautify homes and yards everywhere!"

"I believe the things that make us happiest in life are not always the necessities, but usually the things that we do not need."

extremely well made and cute

The item arrived undamaged in a well packaged box and also outer box. After opening the box, an immediate smile came to my face of how cute and well made the piece was. All the parts are securely welded or soldered together(I don't know if that is the correct term of how the pieces are put together, but it is well done. It comes with a spring and S Hook but I may replace the S hook with a carabiner and not sure about the spring, may just use 550 cord if i want to hang it outside on my porch or on a shepherds hook as i don't think it would hold up against a strong wind. If I hung it inside, then no problem with the s hook and spring that it came with. plus, the artist is using recycled parts so helping the environment and making unique well made art. I already brought two more of the parachuting puppy and 3 of the lady bugs, and the frog playing the guitar on the moon. all are awesome. hope the maker creates new pieces in the future
