Quebec City local Richard Cyr has been handcrafting them since 1997 using only the finest Canadian maple, hoping to spread their ear-pleasing tones and the carefree fun that comes along with them all over the world. Richard Cyr and Mathieu Venière-Cyr are a father-and-son duo based in Québec City, where they handcraft traditional musical spoons from Canadian maple wood. Richard, a self-taught woodworker, started the business in 1997 after a career as an environmental technician. Mathieu joined later, bringing marketing expertise and a shared passion for folk music and Québécois heritage. Inspired by nostalgia and community, they?ve built a joyful craft rooted in tradition, and have partnered with hundreds of retailers worldwide, growing from humble beginnings to a team of 10 in two workshops that are "full of character and built with love."
