I was nervous I wouldn't be able to follow along, but Holly was amazing! She went slowly, but it definitely wasn't boring! I'm now very interested in tarot, and will continue to learn more. Thanks Holly!

Too little teaching, too much class participation
Holly seems like a great teacher, but for an intro class, there was way too much time spent letting class members do the talking rather than Holly. Coming in with no knowledge about tarot reading, I signed up for the class to learn as much as possible from her, and though I took away a few basics, I was disappointed how little teaching she actually did. This would have been way more useful if it was 1.5 hours of her teaching us more about the deck and ways to use it, with far less sharing from fellow novices in the class. Definitely did not meet expectations.
Response from merchant
Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We’re sorry to hear that the class didn’t fully meet your expectations. This Experience is designed to be interactive, with space for participant questions, discussion, and shared exploration. That said, we understand that students new to tarot may prefer a more instructor-led format, and we appreciate you sharing your perspective. Your feedback will be shared with our team, and we’ll be reaching out to see if there’s anything further we can do to assist.

A fun and informative class for beginners
I enjoyed this class and learned a lot. I came into it knowing basically nothing, I just thought tarot cards were so beautiful and interesting. Now I feel like I can practice on my own and explore more confidently. It's a great class that I would recommend to others. It is a mix of interaction and some light basic instruction.

A fun afternoon
Love the tarot deck - beautiful. Holly was a very warm instructor. This class did match the description, and I think it would have been helpful to have more instruction around what different card types meant and how to think through interpretations for different suits, numbers, etc. A few people had their spreads interpreted by Holly for the class, but I didn't feel like I walked away much better able to interpret a spread than when I arrived.

Holly was great.
Holly was a knowlegeable and engaging instructor. One hour is not enough time to learn much if someone is new to Tarot. Also, the chosen deck should have been more traditional (RWS) so newbies were exposed to suit names, colors, and symbols. This deck was way to intuitive for the lesson today.

I learned SO MUCH!
I have dabbled in tarot and oracle cards for about 4 years and this 90 minute workshop was incredibly helpful! I learned SO many new things and the way Holly explained things or shared her knowledge/perspective on things was different than I had before so things clicked for me quickly! She is a great teacher and guide and I loved this workshop!

Hi there Would this be appropriate (or can it be appropriate?) for my 11 year old daughter? She has recently been getting into Tarot Cards and has purchased a book and card set so I'd love to give her the experience of learning more about it at a developmentally appropriate level. Thank you so much!

How easy is it to change the date on an experience? I want to give the Tarot reading to my sister, but don't want to choose the date for her. Would a gift certificate be better...and then I tell her how to spend it ;-)
Verified reply from Allison
Not to worry! Your sister can change the date! She can check out the item page on our site to see the other dates. Or, she can call or email us to let us know!
