Ben Gibson and Patrick Mulligan strive to "connect the dots" by compiling complicated data sets on a given topic of interest and then devising a graphic way to display it beautifully. They met while working at a publishing company, where Ben was a designer and Patrick was an editor. Both collaborated with authors to bring ideas to the printed page, but they had yet to work on anything that was fully their own. Their independent products combine deep research with beautiful design to take the head-spinning data of today's world and transform it into something clean, elegant, and comprehensive.

Christmas gift that rocked
This was a Christmas gift for my guitar playing husband and he loved it. How do I know he loved it? Because he framed it immediately and hung it in his studio. Beautiful graphics, and such a clever idea to show specific, (gorgeous) guitars, when they were played, by who, and for what songs/albums. A treasure of guitar history.

My musician husband loves it!

Are there any jazz players .. like Joe Pass ... or country pickers? I have a friend that played jazz in the Boston area and country in Nashville ... would be a neat gift if I knew those genres were represented here.

Great question, thanks. Our Guitar Pop Chart focuses on rock 'n' roll history. Jazz guitarists Django Reinhardt and Jaco Pastorius are on it, as are Johnny Cash and Willie Nelson. The rest are all blues and rock-n-roll guitarists.
