Discovering the steampunk aesthetic during her first trip to Burning Man was all it took to motivate Cassie Herzog to try jewelry-making. Her designs were so original that women sometimes asked to buy the very pieces she was wearing. In 2012, she won the Accessory Artist of the Year award in her Denver hometown and found the confidence to turn her hobby into a career?and set an example for others. "I have zero formal training," she says. "I want to inspire women to take a chance on themselves."

It's HUGE

I should have taken the advice of the reviewer who noted how oversized this necklace is. It's overpowering and looks silly at the same time. I've never returned anything to Uncommon Goods, but this is going back

Quality product, inadequate information in listing.

So, from the images on the post, I thought this was the size of an average pendant. Maybe an inch or so wide. It's actually 2.5 inches wide and 3" tall. I've tried playing with it and it's a bit awkwardly sized for the way I fidget. It's definitely a cool statement necklace, but not what I expected. The necklace came with a card that has an image of a woman wearing it. I think they should include it on the listing. I don't want to rate negatively because it's not the maker's fault, and the quality of the materials and workmanship is good, so please take this rating based on how the item is presented on the website alone.
