A wonderful gift for lovers of cooking, eating, and binging!
My dad is not an easy person to shop for, as he normally says things like, "I love anything you give me!" While that may be true of my dad and a lot of dads, I wanted to get him something he could actually use and would really appreciate. The book arrived in perfect condition with a matte finish on the top. The first few pages are full of names of movies that had recipes in them. He cooked a wonderful bean, chicken, and rice dish from the movie moonlight. It was flavorful and moist and even my picky brother wanted seconds. The one thing about this product that really made it a great gift was that there is incentive to use it again. Nowadays when we all have phones to look up quick recipes for things there doesn't seem to be any reason to use a cookbook but my dad cooked from the cookbook 8 times after he opened the box. It offers a fun, delicious, and unique way to have a delicious meal and a lovely evening. Making a quick meal from the internet doesn't deliver that same quality as the recipes from the book. Although I don't know if my dad and I will ever try to make the dessert spaghetti from Elf, I am sure we will try every other recipe in this book. I highly recommend this product.
