Better than expected!
The book is much higher quality than I expected, feels like a very nice hardback book. Packaging is nice. Movies are listed with title, genre, and director - but I wish they had included release year (movies like 12 Angry Men have been remade so it would be nice to know which version they recommend) and movie ratings PG, PG-13, etc. (you don't want to be surprised by a movie like Pulp Fiction). Otherwise, it is a lovely book and should make for an excellent Christmas gift.

When your SO is tired of hearing "You haven't seen that?!"
When my now wife met my family, she was constantly asked "You haven't seen that movie?!" and quickly amassed a long list of movies to watch, one she keeps and updates to this date. Growing up, movies were a big part of my childhood; it's one of the ways my family bonded, and some of my best memories are those of when we would make popcorn and watch a movie. Even if the movie ended up being a stinker, we would make the best of it and enjoy our time together - something I wanted to share with my wife. After 10 years of being together, my wife of 5 years and I would still consult her ever expanding list of movies to choose from. As is with most choices in life, the choice of movie greatly depends on the mood you're in; be it a Rom-Com, horror, suspense, action, etc.., it can be difficult to choose the right movie. With this book, so far, it greatly simplifies the process when you can literally open the book to any page and roll with it. So far, after ~10 movies chosen from the book, I can say with confidence that this was an actually well thought out book, and not just a book of Google's top 100. The book has many titles I have seen, and plenty more that have been on my own list of movies to watch. From 100 easy, and fun, date ideas to just not having to look up movies to watch - this book provides a great way to spend your time by yourself or with those in your life.

Perfect for helping you choose which movie to watch
This is great for burgeoning movie buffs (avid American movie-goers will likely have seen the majority already). It works great for my partner and me because movie watching is a bit of a tradition, and my partner didn't grow up in the US so most are new to them.
