Growing up in rural Illinois, Jassimine Dixon spent hours poring over books of optical illusions. Obsessed, she earned a degree in computer graphics and motion technology. Then, using her newly minted tech skills, she learned how to make those mesmerizing images herself. Now a resident of Portland, Oregon, Jassimine works in a studio she shares with two cats and a Pomeranian, creating products with hypnotizing 3-D graphics inspired by textile patterns and artists like M.C. Escher.
