Many different types of puzzles
Gave this puzzle game as a gift to a family. Five of us had over three hours of play for a very enjoyable evening. At first you feel a little lost trying to figure out how to utilize the clues but by reading everything out multiple times we soon figured out how to proceed. All the different types of puzzles meant we all had at least one set of clues we excelled at. Truly a group effort.

Challenging and fun mystery game.
Blackbrim 1876 was so much fun! It is challenging and requires a group of people who think differently to figure out how to solve the clues. I really liked that the clues are all different, so it is definitely not boring. Do not be afraid to ask for hints for the clues. It took four of us about 3 hours to complete the mystery. I am definitely getting the rest of the sets to find out more about the characters. Definitely worth the price. Well done!

ONE OF A KIND - BEST CO-OP Mystery / Puzzle solving games!
These games are ONE of a kind games that bring you back in time to solve multiple in-depth puzzles. The game starts off with a letter to give you a little back story and then you are diving right in. The packaging, props, and attention to detail is out of this world. There are not many instructions because even figuring out what goes together is a mini puzzle. The game creators do a great job with a variety of puzzles, that no matter who is puzzling with you, they will be able to help and not one person will run the show! Hours of fun, with a very helpful online companion site, to check answers, receive hints and also see how the story ends! 10/10 highly recommend for seasoned gaming groups, or a one off holiday game night with friends / family!

Challenging, collaborative, and very fun puzzles!
I've played all three games in this trilogy series with 2 other friends. We love puzzles, and the ones in these games are super satisfying to solve. They're challenging but not impossible or arbitrary - very clever and a huge variety all in a fun story! I also recommended the games to my manager, and we've used them in two team building events.

How many players is this for?
Verified reply from Michael
We recommend groups of 1-6 people, though groups larger than 6 have enjoyed playing as well! A larger group just means players will need to share more of the puzzles.

This says 14 and up, as a family game can a 11 and 12 year old play...or his the story include contain not suitable for younger than 14.
Verified reply from Allison
The maker states 'We recommend ages 14 and older. While the material is appropriate for younger players, the puzzles are quite challenging. That said, players younger than 14 have also enjoyed playing our games, typically in a group that includes older players.'

Blackbrim is sold out. Do you have to start there for the other two games to make sense or can you play each game independently?
Verified reply from Michelle
Hi! Even though none of the puzzles require knowledge from the previous "parts" it is a continuing storyline, so yes you can play each game independently you would be missing the back story only.

How many people can play at once? Can you play the "second half" with a different group or does it need to be the same people?
Verified reply from Michelle
Hi! That's a great question! The vendor says: "We recommend groups of 1-6 people, though groups larger than 6 have enjoyed playing as well! A larger group just means players will need to share more of the puzzles". You can play each "part" with different people! Even though none of the puzzles require knowledge from the previous "parts" it is a continuing storyline, so if you're playing with a new group of people you may want to offer a story recap of the previous "part" to enhance their experience!
