Toddler would not put it down
I bought this for my daughter for Christmas, but somehow she managed to find it before I got it wrapped. At first, she thought it was the same as her other blocks, but then discovered the "magic" button. Once it lit up, her entire world shifted. She has been carrying them everywhere with her and excitedly showing anyone who will look how cool they are. The only downside is they have to be on the little platform in order to light up, but for what they are, I think they're pretty good.

Awesome!!!!!
Bought the 36-piece set for my grandson, who loved it! My son-in-law started to play with it and said "I need more blocks!". A day later, I ordered the 100-piece set for him for Father's Day!

Daughter loved this despite being older
My seven year old is afraid of the dark, but she loves to build, so she wanted this anyway and Santa heard her request. ;) She not only adored it, but she also had us make her structures, too. Each night was a different build, and she felt safer in a way other lights and tactics hadn't worked so far. They were stable in a way her TETRIS set from Think Geek 8 years ago weren't, and the only thing they had a weakness to were the cats running around. Absolutely love this, she absolutely loves this, worked better than I could've hoped.

Great sensory tool/toy for autistics1
My autistic grandson loves the bright, flashing colors. Manipulating the blocks improve his fine motor skills, and his imagination gets a workout as he builds his own creations! His logic and reasoning are exercised as he learns why he needs to change batteries or plug it in to recharge.

An instant hit!
We really liked this product for our 2 and 5 year olds. They are big fans of all things to do with building so we thought we'd give it a try. They love creating new designs to look at while they fall asleep. It's been fun for them to have a night light that can be changed, it continues to hold their attention well since it's always changing.

Excellent nightlight
My toddler is terrified of the dark. I got this for him when I moved out. Now he has a great way to customize his nights every time he visits.

Great Toy
My nephew asked for these for his 10th birthday. Apparently kids these days think they are fun to have in their bedroom. He uses it as a nightlight.

How do the lights light up? Does each block have it's own battery? Thank you soo much .
Verified reply from Melody
When you add blocks to the light base (it's in black), the blocks will light up once connected. The base can be battery (3 AAA batteries) or USB powered.

Are these blocks compatible with brixo blocks?
Verified reply from SiRandal
Greetings! They may be as Brixo Blocks are a standard size so they fit all common building blocks and light blocks are compatible with legos. You would have to ask this manufacturer directly for confirmation but they seem to be from research on line. I hope this info helps. Happy Holidays!

Is the USB cord that is included for charging the batteries once they die? Or is it used instead of the battery?
Verified reply from Marisa
Instead of the batteries. (Incidentally, as this item uses 3 AAA batteries, they are easily replaced once they die.)

Where can I buy more blocks?
Verified reply from Marisa
We're not sure if you mean blocks without the electrical component, or another set. You can buy sets of 36 or 102 right here!

How long does it stay lit?
Verified reply from Valerie
The blocks have 4 modes: always on, 15 min. auto-off, flashing, and fading. While "always on" it will remain lit as long as it is plugged in, or if operating on battery, until the batteries die.
