Very cute
I loved this online and purchase it for my mother's garden as a Christmas present. It came wrapped well, and was not damaged during transit. It's also pretty heavy and seems sturdy. I will buy more if more designs become available!

Beautiful gift for the 'hard to shop for'
This is the second Butterfly Puddler I've given as a gift. I gave one as a teacher appreciation gift a couple years ago and this one, for a birthday. Both recipients were thrilled. The Thistle one is absolutely gorgeous and perfect for a flower bed! #sweepstakes

Guess you need Butterflies first...
We live in SLC Utah and I don't think we have the best atmosphere for butterflies but this particular art piece is pretty and well made. We just use it like a stepping stone/art decor in the garden.

Looks cool
The butterfly puddle looks really neat and is heavy. Never saw a butterfly use it, and I tried a couple different locations. If you're looking for a cool piece of pottery for the garden, it's great.

Beautiful piece for my butterfly garden!
This puddler is a welcome and beautiful addition to my new butterfly garden. It is much larger than anticipated and I'm glad as it really shows up amongst all the flowers. It is very high quality and I am glad I made this purchase and will gladly recommend it to my gardening friends.

the best gift ever!
I bought this item for my siter-in-law, who is a big nature lover. Unfortunately she couldn't attend our annual family Christmas get together but my brother-in-law brought it home to hand it to her. She messaged me right away and told me she loved it so much and said it's too pretty to use it that she wants to display it instead. Well, either she uses it as it's designed for it to or put on a display, I'm pleased she's so happy with it. thank you.

What is the best fruit? Oranges, lemons & limes are acidic, blueberries, strawberries, raspberries, we usually have those 3 in the fridge.

Any overripe fruit will do!

I have the morning glory one. No instructions came. Do I use the while packet of sand with 1 tsp water or what please?
Verified reply from Allison
Place the butterfly puddler in a sunny, protected place in your garden. Fill the well with sand, & then cover with water. Butterflies crave the minerals & salts left behind as the water evaporates. Refill with water when needed. You can also place overripe fruit on the puddler, or add a pinch of salt to the water to allure the butterflies.

Are there two sizes available for this puddler? I haves a Charleston Gardens magazine that says its 10"L X 1/2"D X 10"W. Thank you if you can clarify!
Verified reply from Tawana
For this style, there is only one size, Approx. 8.5" L x 8.5" W; 3 lbs. 6 oz.

What happens when the minerals evaporate? How long do they last? Can they be refilled?
Verified reply from Melody
The minerals are created when sand (included) and water are mixed together. How long the minerals last depends on how many butterflies drink from it. They'll return regularly once they've had it once. If the minerals run out, you can mix any mineral-forming sand with a teaspoon of water. An easier solution is to place overripe fruit on the puddler, or add a pinch of salt to the water to attract the butterflies!
