Perfect engagement gift
When my best friend got engaged, I was looking for something more unique than the typical MRS wine glasses. This planter with the initial of her future last name certainly fit the bill. She even had fun with her fiancé as they filled the planter together.

Hi! Is there a plastic liner in each letter? I don't understand how the soil remains in the letter, especially with the slats at the bottom. Or, do you insert little pots (holding the plants) into the letter?
Verified reply from Jen
Hello Curious Plant Lady, there is no plastic liner for each letter. After the succulents start to grow simply arrange the plants within the letter, add the decorative moss, and admire your work. Hope this helps!

Hi! How do the plants in this type of holder drain? And does the wood frame on the bottom or the sides eventually rot?
Verified reply from Ashley
The frame does not have any drainage, so only water enough to get the soil moist to the bottom, but not soggy. To care for your garden once fully rooted, lay the display on a flat surface and thoroughly moisten the soil. Keep the display down for an hour or so and make sure that the frame is dry before hanging it up again. Water only when it's bone dry, keeping the wood dry.

I'm ordering this as a Christmas gift. Will the plants go bad waiting for Dec 25th?
Verified reply from Jen
Great question, since we instruct customers to open and bring plants inside upon delivery, I would advise not to get this as a Christmas gift. Hope this helps you!

What kind of care is needed for the plants?
Verified reply from Melise
Once planted, you'll want to make sure the frame has access to about half a day of sunlight daily, and water it once a week. In warmer/hotter conditions you may need to water up to twice a week

Is this designed in a way that it could be mounted vertically? Some of the more effective succulent gardens I've seen are wall coverings.
Verified reply from Allison
Yes! Your freshly planted frame will need to spend a couple weeks laying horizontally before it is ready to be hung on a wall. After a couple weeks, make sure that the plants are tight and secure, and if you would like, the frame can be hung on a wall. If you find any loose material, firmly press the roots into the frame and secure the plants with additional moss if needed. Ideally, the light conditions should be similar -- dappled sun or about a half day of sun. To water the frame, lay it horizontal and water thoroughly.
